In honor of International Overdose Awareness Day, the Monroe County Prevention and Wellness Coalition will be hosting an event on Monday, August 30th from 5:30-8 at the Monroe County Rescue Squad building.

Community Partners in the substance misuse and recovery community will have information booths set up. The "Stashed Away" trailer from the TN National Guard Counter Drug Task Force will be set up from 5:30-7:30. Our main speaker, Tommy Farmer with TBI Dangerous Drug Task Force, will speak on Overdose Trends at 6:00, followed by a Q&A at 6:30. Narcan training will be from 7:30-8:00. The night will end with a candlelight vigil in remembrance of those who have lost their lives to overdose.
